Allegheny Energy to supply power to federal agencies in Pennsylvania.


GREENSBURG, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998--Allegheny Energy, one of the lowest-priced energy supply companies in the region, was recently awarded a contract by the U.S. General Services Administration The General Services Administration (GSA) was established by section 101 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C.A. § 751). The GSA sets policy for and manages government property and records.  (GSA (1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services. The contract, which becomes effective Jan. 1, 1999, represents a successful energy management initiative by GSA's Mid-Atlantic Region to combine the energy requirements of 24 federal agencies and four non-profit organizations, using their collective buying power Buying Power
