On the market for less than a year, HomeSite has quietly emerged as the preferred tool for professional Webmasters and Web developers. HomeSite's previous release, version 2.0, has received rave reviews, including multiple five star ratings, from nearly every major online shareware Software on the "honor system."  as Best HTML Design Tool for CNet's Awards for Internet Excellence. An estimated 100,000 Web developers now use HomeSite as their primary Web design tool.

Entrepreneur and cartoonist Nick Bradbury created HomeSite because he found available products for serious HTML design to be inadequate. Bradbury launched HomeSite entirely on the Web, and within six months HomeSite established itself as the leading editor for professional Web developers world-wide. The product was recently acquired by Allaire Corp., where Bradbury continues to lead HomeSite development as the Director of the HomeSite Product Line.

"HomeSite originally came out of my own frustration with the lack of decent tools for editing HTML pages, but ever since the first release was available for download, the design has been driven by the needs of a growing community of Web developers," said Bradbury. "This new release marks a turning point for the product. In HomeSite 2.5 we've added the editing, project management, and application development functionality that serious Web developers are going to need to stay competitive."
