AllPen's technology, targeted at mobile small memory footprint Memory footprint refers to the amount of main memory that a program uses or references while running. This includes all sorts of active memory regions like code, static data sections (both initialized and uninitialized), heap, as well as all the stacks, plus memory required to hold  electronic devices, provides a means for remote devices to share and publish data via standard WWW WWW or W3: see World Wide Web.

technologies. By placing AllPen's lightweight Web server technology inside any consumer product (automobiles, mobile phones, building alarm systems, fax machines, televisions, etc.) these devices can be easily accessed and/or controlled through the Internet from a standard Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you. .

"Over the last several years, we have worked on custom handheld and PDA software-based Intranet projects for Fortune 500 airlines, automobile manufacturers, medical device companies, and telecommunications firms. Many of these same corporations are interested in embedding our Mobile Web Server technology into their Internet related projects," said Wayne Yurtin, Co-founder of AllPen Software, Inc. "This technology, combined with our NetHopper mobile web browser, is an ideal fit to allow devices to both access and publish web-based information in a mobile fashion. For example, devices such as camcorders will be web server enabled - thus making the currently recorded images accessible and viewable via the web....real-time."

AllPen's technology also provides developers with an interface between data residing on remote devices (such as PDAs or handheld PCs) and their Web Server running directly on a handheld. Utilizing various plug-in modules, users can transparently share their data anytime over an Intranet or Internet with any Web browser. As an example of this technology, AllPen is demonstrating a Digital Ocean Corp. SeaHorse wireless PDA device running AllPen's Mobile Web Server technology which is simultaneously publishing the datebook/calendering information residing on the SeaHorse handheld. This solution is being demonstrated within Digital Ocean's booth at the MacWorld tradeshow in San Francisco this week.

"AllPen's Mobile Web Server technology is an ideal vehicle for remote and mobile devices to publish information," said Tim Harrington, Director of Software Engineering for AllPen Software. "For the first time, anyone with a Web browser can examine and manipulate data on another person's mobile handheld device. This is a great fit for many of our customers using wireless technology in the field. We're demonstrating this solution today in the very first public demonstration of handheld wireless web server technology in action." AllPen plans to leverage the development of this technology in their software development and consulting for corporate enterprise vertical markets.
