Does your prepaid vacation offer all that you want?

All-inclusive vacation packages may allow you to pay a flat fee for your amenities. But before you hop on that plane, ask your travel agent some important questions: Exactly what is included in this all-inclusive package? Is it less expensive than paying for services a la carte? Are there additional fees for select services such as spa treatments or golf?

"Key items to look for are whether or not gratuities are included with your drinks or meals, are you limited to buffets or ordering only from certain restaurants on the resort, or are motorized or nonmotorized sports included," says Dana Taub, a travel consultant for All Inclusive Vacations in Grand Terrace, California.

Two highly rated all-inclusive resorts that are popular destination spots for African Americans are SuperClubs and Sandals. SuperClubs (800-GO-SUPER; www.superclubs.com) features nine resorts throughout the Caribbean and South America. Prices include all hotel accommodations, meals, SuperSnacks, unlimited premium brand cocktails, entertainment, hotel taxes, recreational activities, unlimited use of all sports facilities and airport transfers. And absolutely no tipping is allowed, since gratuities are already factored into the price.

At no additional cost, the resort also performs flail-service weddings complete with a minister, cake, best man, and maid of honor, if needed.

Sandals Resorts (800-SANDALS; www.sandals.com) offer 10 luxury, all-inclusive couples-only resorts on four islands throughout the Caribbean. Each resort includes at least five restaurants, as well as beach bars. All meals, room accommodations, premium drinks, entertainment, airport transfers, taxes, gratuities, and unlimited land and water sport activities are included in one price.
