Hayward Field at University of Oregon is one of the most well-known historic track and field stadiums in the United States. It has been the home to the University of Oregon Track and Field teams since 1919.
 because of construction in preparation for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials.

For five weeks, children 12-and-under will compete on Wednesdays beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of next week, when the children's competition will be moved to Tuesday to avoid the July 4 holiday.

Participants are asked to enter the high school parking lot off 19th Avenue and register at the north end of the track, located just south of the football field. Registration is $3 per meet or $15 for a summer membership, which includes a T-shirt.
