Major League Baseball is holding auditions in search of the best local talent to perform at the event. Casting requirements include:

  WHAT: The opportunity to perform at the 2001 John Hancock All-Star
        FanFest at the Stadium Exhibition Center, a five-day baseball
        and entertainment celebration, July 6-10, 2001.

  WHO:  A wide variety of musical groups, including A Cappella groups
        (college and university groups encouraged), strolling acoustic
        bands and traditional one-person bands. Specialty acts such as
        stilt-walkers, jugglers, etc., especially those with
        baseball-related material. Approximately 20 male and female
        performers also are needed to play a variety of
        baseball-related character roles. John Hancock All-Star
        FanFest invites submissions from artists of all ethnic and
        cultural backgrounds.

  WHEN: Auditions for all potential performers will take place
        Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, May 31. All interested groups
        and individuals must submit resumes, photos and video or
        audiotapes no later than Wednesday, May 23. Appointments
        cannot be granted without prior submittal of a promo package.
