) nurse Sarah Skinner brings a little glamour to her work, in a gown made from theatre scrubs scrubs See Surgical scrubs. , gloves and glitter wristbands. Looking on is Auckland Hospital ICU nurse Shanyn Alliston, in a far less glamourous outfit of regular scrubs.

The "theatrical" gown was designed by Annah Stretton of the Annah S fashion label to launch the 2003 Intensive Care Appeal, which ran from July 1-14. The glitter wristbands were the fundraising item for the appeal. The appeal was to raise funds for research into brain and lung injury, infection and overall prevention.

Appeal chair Fran Wilde Fran Wilde QSO (1951- ), is a New Zealand politician, and former Wellington Labour MP and 31st Mayor of Wellington.
