I just wanted to applaud Queer as Folk's Randy Harrison for enriching the all-too-small ranks of actors who are starting their careers by bravely being out from day one ["Randy Gets Real," September 17].

I hope that other young actors out there can read his interview and be emboldened em·bold·en

I doubt that an Advocate interviewer would ignore a racist reference by a white subject or a heterosexist assertion by a straight person. So I was surprised when you overlooked Randy Harrison's misogynist mi·sog·y·nist
