"The (Detroit Regional Chamber) has been flogging the idea avidly for months, culminating in an all-out propaganda blitz at its annual Mackinac conference ... that succeeded in producing a rather meaningless agreement." The Detroit News, June 20, 2001. The dialogue has begun. The above quotes are clearly representative of our community at large: some like the idea, some don't. Some are willing to take a new route, so to speak, to improve our transit system. Others are naysayers who hear the same old, same old - perfectly understandable after 20 years in the making.
