All Time Favorite M&M's Commercial Features ``Puddy'' From Seinfeld; Half a Million Votes Cast Online.

With more than 500,000 online votes tallied, M&M's(R) Chocolate Candies announces America's all-time favorite M&M's(R) commercial since 1954 - "Switch," starring Patrick Warburton. The re-debut of "Switch" will air during Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and run through December 31.

In the comical spot, Patrick Warburton, known for his surly character David Puddy on Seinfeld, is troubled when he finds Red, Yellow and Crispy eating bags of M&M's(R) Chocolate Candies. He deadpans, "You don't eat your own kind. It's unnatural." To placate him, the spokescandies switch bags; however, Patrick ends up confiscating all the bags saying, "It's just disturbing."

"The 'Switch' spot, which was created by BBDO in 1999, received an overwhelming response," said Douglas Milne, Senior Marketing Manager, M&M's(R). By logging onto http://www.mms.com, voters cast a ballot for their all-time favorite M&M's(R) commercial, choosing from 36 spots that have aired since 1954 when the M&M's characters were first introduced. The runners-up included these favorite commercials:

-- "Trailer": A production assistant walks into Green's trailer

when she's changing. He gets an eyeful of chocolate and finds

it hard to take his eyes off of her. The fix? He's gotta buy a

bag of M&M's(R) Chocolate Candies.

-- "Hotel": A hotel guest excited about his room's amenities is a

little freaked out by the complimentary chocolate on the

pillow: the talking Red M&M's(R) Chocolate Candy, who wants to

turn on the TV instead of going to sleep.

-- "Faint": Red & Yellow come face-to-face with the big guy,

himself--Santa Claus. The spokescandies and Santa can't

believe their eyes and simultaneously faint.
