Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) remains on the All Star Analyst portfolio and will release its second quarter results later this month. In early June, Danaher raised the lower end of its earnings per share guidance for the quarter, and now expects between 75 cents and 78 cents, excluding a gain on the sale of First Technology plc shares. Previously, the company expected between 73 cents and 78 cents. Danaher continues to expect full year earnings per share of $3.07 to $3.17. In April, the company posted first quarter earnings per share that beat the consensus as sales advanced 17.5%.

GlobalSantaFe Corporation (NYSE: GSF) announced first quarter earnings of 65 cents per share Cents per share

 in May, which eclipsed the consensus by more than 3%. In the year-ago quarter, earnings per share were 21 cents. Revenues improved to $679.4 million, versus $488.6 million a year earlier. Revenues in the quarter were a record for GlobalSantaFe while its fleet produced the highest average dayrates in its history. The company said it is poised for a year of record revenues and earnings thanks to a projected 40% increase in average dayrates by year-end and a total revenue backlog of more than $7 billion. The company's second quarter earnings release is scheduled for early August.

U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) is one of the country's largest financial holding companies, and is a favorite among the All Stars in its industry. The company is scheduled to report its second quarter numbers later this month. In April, U.S. Bancorp announced solid first quarter numbers, including an earnings per share rise of 10.5% from the previous year to 63 cents from 57 cents. The result also edged past the consensus. Revenue improved by approximately 7%. The company said that the quarter's year-over-year results were driven by very good growth in its fee-based businesses and lower credit costs.
