E[acute accent]Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR), which recently said it would not increase its offer for First Technology, announced on January 20th that its wholly-owned subsidiary Fluke Electronics completed the acquisition of Visual Networks, a leading provider of network test and application performance management solutions. Danaher remains a favorite with the All Stars. Danaher raised the lower end of its earnings per share guidance for 2005 last month and stated that it is pleased to deliver another year of record earnings and cash flows. For 2006, Danaher expects earnings of $3.13 to $3.23 per share, before the impact of expensing stock options, and is confident in its ability to deliver a solid organic revenue growth performance this year.

E[acute accent]EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) remains a pick with several All Star analysts. EMC said it closed a record year with a record quarter. Fourth quarter earnings per share, excluding items, reached 17 cents on total consolidated revenue of $2.71 billion. The earnings result improved from 13 cents year-over-year while revenue advanced 15% from $2.36 billion. For 2005, earnings per share, excluding items, jumped 47% to 53 cents, while total consolidated revenue increased 17% to $9.66 billion from $8.23 billion. With 10 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth, the company said it fully expects its momentum and level of execution to continue into 2006 and beyond.

E[acute accent]Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) is one of the All Stars' favorite names in the video game industry. The company recently delivered its first game with ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network  integrated content.
