CACI International, Inc. (NYSE:CAI) recently announced fiscal third quarter net income of $21.6 million, or 71 cents per diluted share, compared to the prior year's $15.8 million, or 53 cents. Wall Street was expecting 69 cents for the quarter, marking a positive earnings surprise of almost 3%. Revenue jumped 44% to $414.9 million from $288.4 million year-over-year. CACI International attributed its robust quarter to continuing growth across its diversified customer base for the systems integration, engineering services, and network services offerings. In fact, over the first nine months of fiscal 2005, the company has experienced a net income rise of 44%. Looking forward, CACI International increased its guidance for its fourth quarter and fiscal 2005. The company's solid performance this year and encouraging outlook are two reasons it remains a favorite with several All Star analysts.

Genentech, Inc. (NYSE:DNA) is one of the All Star analysts' favorite names in the biotechnology space. The company got some encouraging news late last month concerning its Herceptin drug, which is a targeted therapeutic antibody treatment for women with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. According to the company, two Phase III trials of Herceptin were stopped early after analysis demonstrated an improvement in the primary endpoint of disease-free survival and in the secondary endpoint of overall survival. Susan Desmond-Hellmann, M.D., M.P.H., Genentech's president of Product Development, stated, "While further follow-up is necessary, the results of this joint interim analysis suggest that adjuvant therapy with Herceptin plus chemotherapy for women with early-stage HER2- positive breast cancer may increase the chance of long-term survival." Encouraging news for Herceptin is just one of the reasons why the All Stars continue to like this innovative company.

Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) stated that each of its three businesses showed excellent results and demonstrated sustainable growth in the first quarter. Excluding items, earnings per share reached 15 cents, marking a solid improvement over the year-earlier performance of 10 cents. Significant volume and rate increases from business transient customers, along with continued improved pricing power from the group and leisure markets, sparked double-digit revenue-per-available room gains at many of its owned hotels. Its two biggest markets, New York an Hawaii, were especially strong, according to the company. Hilton Hotels decided to update its guidance for 2005 thanks to the quarter's solid results, encouraging activity month-to-date April 2005, and expected continued strong demand in key markets. The hotels industry has finally emerged from a long slump and the All Stars believe that Hilton Hotels is poised to benefit.

LaSalle Hotel Properties (NYSE:LHO) is a leading multi-tenant, multi-operator real estate investment trust, which owns interests in 21 upscale and luxury full-service hotels, totaling approximately 6,700 guest rooms in 14 markets in 10 states and the District of Columbia. Funds from operations per share reached 27 cents for the first quarter, compared to 13 cents in the year-ago quarter. Revenue per available room improved 10.3%. LaSalle Hotel Properties stated that greater pricing power led to RevPAR growth. Furthermore, the company's urban hotels led the portfolio's strong performance while its resort-oriented hotels also achieved RevPAR gains. The company expects 2005 will continue to be an outstanding year for the hotel industry and LaSalle Hotel Properties.
