All New Forest Lawn-Covina Hills Program Creates Living Pictures from the Celebrated Life of Christ Mosaic.

COVINA HILLS, Calif. -- Families are invited to enjoy an uplifting summer afternoon filled with "living pictures" from the Life of Christ mosaic at Forest Lawn-Covina Hills during a unique reenactment by performers from Ovation Productions. Young and old will experience incredibly faithful, artistic re-creations of scenes from the original mosaic depicting significant milestones in Christ's life including: The Nativity, The Sermon on the Mount, The Last Supper, The Crucifixion and The Resurrection. This moving event will be held for the first time on Sunday, June 26th at 4:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets so they can relax, reflect, and enjoy this exceptional program.

The Life of Christ Mosaic is the largest religious mosaic in the Western Hemisphere, measuring 172 feet by 34 feet and encompasses over 11 million bits of sparkling glass. It tells the story of Jesus Christ - his birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection - in the most nearly permanent art form man is capable of producing. Mosaics will not fade in the heat or sun. The pictures illustrated in the mosaic were taken from the famous art museums of the world and the great artists who have lived and worked during the past five centuries. Their works have been blended into 26 scenes from Christ's life, flowing in a montage and accompanied by a recorded narration.

Forest Lawn-Covina Hills is located at 21300 Via Verde Dr. in Covina. For information and reservations, call 1.800.204.3131 or visit www.forestlawn.com.
