Forever Poems for Then and Now by Sonya Kurzweil, Ph.D. and Amy Kurzweil, a newly published children's poetry and art education book, will ship to schools during American Education Week, November 14-20, 2004. The donation to elementary schools complements the introduction of poetry as part of the standard 5th grade English Language Arts curriculum in Massachusetts.

The book donation will be kicked-off at an authors' poetry reading to the 4th and 5th grade students of the Patrick O'Hearn Elementary School in Dorchester, MA on Friday, November 12th at 2:15 p.m. Using an e-file of the book included on a CD in the book, a student will also demonstrate how to access and read aloud a selection of poems via the computer using Kurzweil Educational Systems' Kurzweil 3000 software.
