All American Semiconductor announces plans to open a new sales office in Detroit; Company Announces Employee Promotion.
This newest office is planned for the Detroit, Michigan area and is expected to be opened during the fourth quarter of 1995. Joining All American to open and run this new office is David Goethe who will be the General Manager. Prior to joining All American, Mr. Goethe spent 17 years at Hamilton Avnet, the second largest distributor in the industry, where most recently he held the position of district manager for the Detroit area.
Commenting on the new office, Bruce M. Goldberg, President and Chief Operating Officer of All American, stated, "In order to better represent our supplier base, we continue to look for strategic markets in which to expand our presence. We have been doing a substantial amount of business in the Detroit area and expect this new office will allow All American to enhance our service to our valued customers in the market. Additionally, this expanded presence will allow All American to attract new customers and further promote the products of our quality suppliers."
"The opening of this office in Michigan will be our third new branch in less than six months. We expect all of these new branches to begin contributing to our bottom line by mid-1996." In other news, All American announced the promotion of Chuck Ashcraft to General Manager of its Huntsville branch while the previous General Manager for Huntsville, Mike Goldstein, will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia to be the General Manager of All American's new Atlanta office, which is expected to open within 60 days.
All American was recently ranked as the nation's 21st largest distributor of electronic components and the 9th largest distributor of semiconductors in the United States. With these sales office openings, All American will have offices in 23 strategic locations throughout the country.
