Sterility is the inability to conceive children and applies equally to men who are unable to impregnate a woman in order to enable to conceive. But the term is applied frequently in case of women only. It is also known as infertility. The preliminary step in treating sterility is to determine whether the problem lies with the male or the female partner. In Female, systematic diseases sufficient to suppress the ovulation and age above 40 are very common causes. Endocrine factors like frohlich's syndrome, psychological factors like fear, and nervousness can also cause this problem. Genital factors like narrow vaginal introitus, vaginal atresia, high vaginal acidity, cervical, uterine, tubal, and ovarian disorders can cause sterility in females. Impotence derives from the Latin word impotentia [Lat: im "not," and potentia power]. 1. weakness. 2. inability of the adult male to achieve penile erection or, less commonly, to ejaculate having achieved an erection. Several forms are recognized. Functional impotence has a psychological basis. Anatomic impotence results from physically defective genitalia. Atonic impotence involves disturbed neuromuscular function. Poor health, age, drugs, and fatigue can inhibit normal sexual function. SOURCE: Mosby's Medical Dictionary, 3rd Edition (1990) To combat or reverse impotence, eat a more vegan-vegetarian based diet and/or consume only sparse amounts of meat (white meat only). Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, raw and organic fruit, plenty of seeds and nuts (think about it, male sperm is commonly known as "seed" i.e. "to plant seed in a woman"; and ejaculation is commonly referred to as a "nut" or "nutting", i.e. to bust a nut). The best seeds for a man to eat are pumpkin seeds (papitas) and sunflower seeds due to their rich zinc content. The male prostate gland is chiefly comprised of zinc and with every ejaculation, a man losses vital zinc. It's true that some couples also think that they're facing sterility when in reality they just have less of a chance of getting pregnant than other couples. Pregnancy is not a guarantee even when a healthy man and woman engage in sexual activity; it's a game of chance no matter what. In order to increase the odds of a pregnancy, many couples are advised to simply increase their sexual activity! As a matter of fact, a couple is not technically considered infertile unless they are having sexual relations at least twice per week for an entire year and still have not gotten pregnant. A month or two without a pregnancy, or sexual activity that is more infrequent than that does not add up to sterility for any couple. Treatment Proper counseling should be done for both husband and wife. Make sure that the menstrual cycle of the women is regular, and sperm count in men is absolutely normal in all respects. Start tonification therapy for both. Advice Anti-Vata diets for both partners. Use aphrodisiac herbs like ashwagandha, mucuna pruriens, bala, white musli and ipomea digitata for male infertility. Mixture of any 3 herbs in equal parts with dose of 1 to 2 gms a day for 1 month is useful. Read About home remedies Also Read About home remedies for sterility and home remedies for stress |
