CORRIE bosses have asked Alison King to re-create one of the most famous film moments - Sharon Stone's Basic Instinct scene.

The 1992 Hollywood blockbuster is legendary for Stone's provocative scene as she played bisexual killer Catherine Tramell.

As she was being probed by police while wearing a short skirt, she crosses and uncrosses her legs but isn't wearing knickers.

Now, Weatherfield aims to get the nation talking with a similar plot involving Alison, who plays sultry factory boss Carla Connor.

A soap source said: "It will obviously be done in the traditional Coronation Street way - leaving everything up to the viewers' imagination.

"But it will all be fairly raunchy."

Alison, who is pregnant to sound technician boyfriend Adam Huckett, says she can't wait to play the scenes in October.

It all starts when boyfriend Tony Gordon, played by Scot Gray O'Brien, complains he has hardly seen her lately.

Carla says it's because he has been spending all his time working to build his business empire.

So to tempt Tony with a glimpse of what he has been missing, Carla glides her chair out from her desk so that he has a full frontal view of her.

She then tells him sexily: "Anyway, you can see me now if you like. So have a good look and make the most of it."
