26-Year Army Veteran to help Advance Growth and Performance of Essential DoD Programs

Rider will lead efforts that include systems and component engineering, selected Pentagon support operations, engineering efforts at Redstone Arsenal Redstone Arsenal, U.S. rocket research and development center, 38,781 acres (15,694 hectares), N Ala., W of Huntsville; est. 1941. Under the WSTIAC program, Rider will be charged with enhancing this critically important enterprise as both a pragmatic, relevant technology information asset and as an effective contractual instrument for the Department of Defense's research, development, and acquisition personnel working vital weapons related issues.

Rider joins Alion after serving 26 years in the Army where he held numerous leadership positions within operational and acquisition organizations. His Army career includes extensive experience in acquisition, procurement, test and evaluation, and budgeting and resource management. Rider has been honored with numerous commendations and awards for outstanding leadership and performance, including the Fiscal Year 2006 Secretary of the Army Project Manager of the Year and selection of his office for the 2005 Department of Defense David Packard David Packard (September 7, 1912 – March 26, 1996) was a cofounder of Hewlett-Packard. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, he received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1934. Afterwards he worked for the General Electric Company in Schenectady, New York.  Award for Program Management.
