Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) has become the first company to make Alienware(R) personal computers available at retail stores nationwide.

The "Computer Creation Station" kiosk at Best Buy can be used for building a personalized "dream" version of an Alienware(R) gaming system through a wide selection of cutting edge, customizable component choices. The kiosk also offers a configuration from the Alienware(R) Area-51(TM)series, featuring a 2.0 GHz Pentium(R) 4 microprocessor, 512 MB of RDRAM and a NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 500 video graphics card. All Alienware(R) configurations ordered from the Best Buy "Computer Creation Stations" are available in one of eight "extraterrestrial" colors.

Considered the ultimate gaming machines, Alienware(R) computers are widely praised by PC "Gamers" for their speed, quality and high-end application performance.

Alienware(R) computers were available only through the Alienware Web site until BestBuy.com became the first on-line retailer to offer pre-built Alienware(R) systems in December 2001. The tremendous popularity of Alienware(R) among BestBuy.com shoppers led to the decision to make Alienware(R) available in Best Buy stores as well. BestBuy.com will continue to offer a variety of pre-built Alienware(R) systems.
