Alicia Silverstone: lesbian matchmaker.

LOOK OUT, Miss Match, In an upcoming episode of the new NBC series from out TV whiz Darren Star, divorce lawyer-matchmaker Matchmaker - A language for specifying and automating the generation of multi-lingual interprocess communication interfaces. MIG is an implementation of a subset of Matchmaker. Kate Fox played by Alicia Silverstone--faces her toughest job yet: finding a girlfriend for the daughter of a picky mom played by guest star Caroline Aaron. The Buzz caught up with Silverstone recently for a quick cross-examination cross-examination n. the opportunity for the attorney (or an unrepresented party) to ask questions in court of a witness who has testified in a trial on behalf of the opposing party. The questions on cross-examination are limited to the subjects covered in the direct examination of the witness, but importantly, the attorney may ask leading questions, in which he/she is allowed to suggest answers or put words in the witness' mouth..

Is this fix-up more complicated than Kate heterosexual match-making jobs? "Well, of course!" Silverstone replies. "Simply because lesbians are so much more interesting But actually, I think it's difficult all the way around. The easiest person to set up is someone who knows what they want, and the hardest person is someone who thinks they know what they want."

And has Silverstone ever played gay match 's maker in real life? "Yes, and it was a total disaster!" she says. "It was one of those 'I can't believe you think that of me' situations on both sides. Let's just leave it at that."
