Alice Kurtz Appointed ERISA Compliance Officer at Sentinel Benefits.


WAKEFIELD, Mass. -- Sentinel Benefits announced today that Alice Kurtz has been appointed ERISA See Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

 Compliance Officer. In this position, Kurtz will be responsible for providing recommendations on 401(k) plan design and compliance issues and identifying and resolving complex regulatory issues.

Prior to joining Sentinel Benefits, Kurtz was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  in Boston, where she provided consulting services relating to employee benefits, including defined benefit plans, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191) Also known as the "Kennedy-Kassebaum Act," this U.S. law protects employees' health insurance coverage when they change or lose their jobs (Title I) and provides standards for patient health, , stock option plans and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews.

Kurtz received her Juris Doctor The degree awarded to an individual upon the successful completion of law school.

 degree from Northeastern University and her B.A. degree from Oberlin College. She is a resident of Wayland.
