Alice E. (Fletcher) Adams, 69.WOONSOCKET, RI Alice E. (Fletcher) Adams, 69, died Tuesday, November 17, in the Landmark Medical Center, following an illness. She is survived by two sons, Roland Adams, and his wife, Tina, of Whitinsville, and Leon Adams, and his wife, Kimberley, of Summerfield, SC; two daughters, Joellen Beausoleil, and her husband, Jeff; and Velda Pare, and her husband, David, both of Woonsocket; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Earl and Harry Fletcher. Mrs. Adams was born, June 10, 1940, in Uxbridge, the daughter of Leon and Sarah (Hammond) Fletcher. She grew up in Uxbridge and attended Uxbridge schools. She lived in Woonsocket for many years, and worked at Wendy's Restaurant in Lincoln. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Franklin and the Crepeau Court Social Club in Woonsocket. She loved country music, playing cards playing cards, parts of a set or deck, used in playing various games of chance or skill. The origin of playing cards is unknown, and almost as many theories exist as there are historians of the subject. and attending family gatherings.
