Alibris Expands Into International and Small Press Markets; Leader in Hard-to-Find Books Names Supply Management and International Operations Executives to Management Team.

Alibris, the world's leading source for hard-to-find books, today announced the appointment of two new executives to lead the company's expansion into international and small press markets. Alibris named Gary Todoroff Vice President, Supply Management and announced the promotion of Karl Wiley to Vice President, International Operations Internal Operations (I.O., IO or I/O) is a fictional American Intelligence Agency in Wildstorm comics. It was originally called International Operations. I.O. first appeared in WildC.A.T.S. volume 1 #1 (August, 1992) and was created by Brandon Choi and Jim Lee. .

Todoroff brings over 25 years of book industry experience to Alibris, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Sales at Publishers Group West, the largest marketing and distribution company for independent publishers. Prior to Publishers Group West, Todoroff worked in field sales for Charles Scribner/Macmillan Publishing Co. and held management positions at B. Dalton Bookseller.

At Alibris, Todoroff will lead the company's expansion into international, university, academic, and small press partnerships. Alibris also announced the appointment of Karl Wiley to Vice President, International Operations. Wiley will lead the company's overseas expansion and will open Alibris' European offices later this year.

"Karl will open our European offices to support library customers, dealers, and publishers in Europe. He will also open our first overseas distribution facilities. Wiley has served as Director, Business Development at Alibris since June 1999. He held management positions in Business Development at Lycos and in the Emerging Markets consulting practice of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Deloitte & Touche (also referred to as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and branded as Deloitte.) is the second largest professional services firm in the world, and one of the Big Four auditors, along with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young and KPMG.  International.
