Alibaba.com brings world trade to the West Midlands; ADVERTISEMENT FEATURE.


AS part of a major launch to the UK marketplace, Alibaba.com, the world's largest online meeting place for buyers and sellers, is calling for entrepreneurs from the West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull,  to enter a national trading challenge in a bid to highlight new trading opportunities to businesses in the region.

Founded ten years ago in China, the company has grown rapidly in user base and geography and today connects more than nine million buyers and suppliers across 240 countries and regions worldwide via its trading website.
