Global celebration of 3D industry brings together computer graphics and industrial design professionals with leading technology companies

Alias/Wavefront(TM), an SGI (NYSE:SGI) company, announced today its annual industry event, 3December(TM), will be held for the 4th consecutive year with seven cities globally participating in one of the world's largest computer graphics and industrial design community events. 3December draws thousands of 3D professionals and students, who gather to celebrate the industry's achievements, learn from others in their field and see first hand the innovation of leading software and hardware companies. The event takes place December 3, 2002 and is sponsored by HP(R), Intel(R) Corporation and ATI(R).

Seven International Host Cities

The seven host cities for this year's 3December event are: New York and Los Angeles, Sydney, London, Paris, Seoul, and Tokyo. Each city will create a unique atmosphere for the event that will allow local attendees to experience event exclusives such as expert industry guest speakers, the latest technology demonstrations, Maya Master classes, a 3D Pub(TM), and much more.

Focus on Learning and Celebration

Since its inception, 3December's focus has been on learning and celebration. As a result Alias/Wavefront presents 3December for free which allows everyone interested in 3D to attend.

The courses are for intermediate to advanced users and focus on specific skill sets so that students can walk away with expert knowledge they can put to use immediately.
