TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2003

Algonquin Power Income Fund (the "Fund") of Oakville, Ontario Oakville (2006 population 165,613[2]) is a town on Lake Ontario in southern Ontario, Canada, midway between Toronto (about 31 km or 19 mi away) on its eastern border and Hamilton (about 20 km or 12 mi away) from its western border.  announced today that its Trustees have declared a cash distribution on its trust units. The distribution is $0.0766 per trust unit ($5,200,191.08) payable on November 14, 2003 to the unitholders of record on September 30, 2003 for the period from September 1, 2003 to September 30, 2003.

The energy assets owned by the Fund have been consolidated into three operating divisions reflecting the common characteristics of the asset classes. The Hydroelectric Division holds direct and indirect equity interests in 47 hydroelectric generating facilities located in Ontario (5), Quebec (12), Newfoundland (1), Alberta (1), New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
