After serving his country, Al was a letter carrier for the Worcester Post Office, until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Greendale Retirement Club, the NARFE NARFE National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (formerly the National Association of Retired Federal Employees) NARFE National Association of Retired Federal Employees , and the St. Andrew's Men's Club and the Pitch League. He was a longtime member of St. George's Church in Worcester. He enjoyed playing cards and watching sports. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He always had a good joke to tell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral for Al will be held on Friday, June 27th, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle brat·tle Scots n. 1.
