Alfalight 25 Watt Pump Module Delivers High Brightness and Wavelength Control; Innovative Pump+Signal Architecture Ideal for Fiber Laser and Amplifier Configurations.

MADISON, Wis adv. 1. Certainly; really; indeed.
v. t. 1. To think; to suppose; to imagine; - used chiefly in the first person sing. present tense, I wis. See the Note under Ywis.
. -- Alfalight, Inc., an innovative manufacturer of highly efficient and reliable diode lasers See laser diode. , today announced the release of its next generation, high-performance Combined Power Module II (CPM-II). The CPM-II incorporates the high brightness of the previous-generation CPM (1) (Critical Path Method) A project management planning and control technique implemented on computers. The critical path is the series of activities and tasks in the project that have no built-in slack time.  and adds precision wavelength control through integrated temperature stabilization, making it ideal for pumping fiber lasers at 976 nm. The CPM-II is available with 25 watts of output power and a 200 micron micron: see micrometer.

One micrometer, which is one millionth of a meter or approximately 1/25,000 of an inch. The tiny elements that make up a transistor on a chip are measured in micrometers and nanometers. See process technology.
(0.22 NA) output fiber for fiber laser applications. A version with 21 watts in a 6+1:1 pump/signal configuration (with 5/125 micron signal/pump fiber) is also available for fiber amplifier and LIDAR systems.

"The CPM-II eliminates some important challenges facing designers of high-power fiber lasers and high-fidelity amplifiers," said Ron Bechtold, vice president of sales and marketing for Alfalight. "This pump source Pump Source is an Indian directory of pump manufacturers, pump parts and pump-related products in that country. It has been published By the "Indian Trade Development" Ahmedabad Gujarat India, since 1986.  simplifies the development of high-performance fiber lasers and amplifiers by incorporating wavelength control, advanced protection circuitry, higher output power and high reliability. As a result, users can focus on the other aspects of their fiber laser system design and not the pump performance."

The CPM-II provides precision wavelength stabilization using an integrated temperature controller. This compact, 4.5 x 7 x 1 inch module utilizes thermoelectrically-cooled fiber-coupled laser diodes A semiconductor-based laser used to generate analog signals or digital pulses for transmission through optical fibers. Both laser diodes and LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are used for this purpose, but the laser diode generates a smaller beam that is easier to couple with the smaller core . The solution requires only a low-cost, fixed-voltage supply to drive the temperature control and a laser current supply. In addition, fully hermetic hermetic /her·met·ic/ (her-met´ik) impervious to air.

her·met·ic or her·met·i·cal
adj.
Completely sealed, especially against the escape or entry of air.
diode packaging, advanced electrical protection circuitry and rugged housing ensure effective operation in both laboratory and field environments.

CPM-II Product Details

The Alfalight AC2-976-01-253 provides 25 watts of 976 nm fiber-coupled light output (200 micron, 0.22NA). The AC2-976-31-213 provides 21 watts of 976 nm power in a convenient pass-through configuration, with 5/125 micron signal input and 5/125/245 micron pump-plus-signal output. The lifetime of both units exceeds 10,000 hours. Wavelength is adjustable from the factory-set 976.0 nm via an on-board On board usually means to be traveling on some vehicle. For example, Baby On Board. Compare with overboard.

Metaphorically, the term on-board is often used to refer to some piece of technology that is integrated in a moving vehicle, for example:
potentiometer or optional external voltage input. A 2-meter cable is included.

Availability

Both the 7:1 and the 6:1+1 CPM-II (part numbers: AC2-976-01-253 and AC2-976-31-213, respectively) are available now for delivery in September. For pricing, please contact Jeremy Draper drap·er
