Operating income for the second quarter of 1995 was $7,350,306, or $0.18 per share, compared with operating income of $11,684,808, or $0.29 per share, earned in the second quarter last year. Net income for the second quarter of 1995, which includes net realized investment gains, was $7,938,168, or $0.19 per share, compared with $12,603,627, or $0.31 per share, in the prior-year period. Premiums for the quarter increased 34% to $76,357,521. Alfa's chairman, Goodwin L.
