VAL-D'OR, Quebec -- Alexis Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:AMC) is pleased to announce that it was awarded 'Entrepreneur of the Year Award' at the recent "Quebec Exploration 2004" symposium held in Quebec City. The Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) represents the Exploration and Mining Industry in Quebec and presents annual awards at the symposium in order to acknowledge the energy and entrepreneurial spirit of businesses and individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of the mineral exploration industry in Quebec.

Mr. David M. Rigg, President and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the Corporation. Alexis is also proud to announce that Senior Scientist, Mathieu Piche, has been awarded two prestigious awards that testify to his contribution to the Mineral Exploration Industry and Academy. Dr. Piche is in the front line of Alexis' exploration programs and contributes to target generation and validation.
