Alexandra Hauber Joins Bear Stearns European Equity Research Team.

Bear, Stearns International Limited today announced that highly ranked European pharmaceuticals analyst Alexandra Hauber will join the firm in London as a managing director in the Equity Research Department.

Commenting on the appointment, Roger Hirst, director of European equity research, said, "As we continue to assemble a first-rate team in London, Alexandra's significant stature among pharmaceuticals industry analysts will add important intellectual capital for our clients."

Ms. Hauber was recently ranked number four among analysts in her sector by the Reuters Survey of Fund Managers and Finance Directors. She has held top-five rankings for each of the past four years.

Ms. Hauber will join Bear Stearns from Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, where she was an analyst covering European pharmaceuticals. She was previously part of the German healthcare practice at McKinsey & Co in Munich and, earlier, worked in Germany as a pharmacist. She holds an undergraduate degree from LMU University in Munich and an MBA from the INSEAD programme at Fontainebleau, France.
