: LU) today announced that Alestra, Mexico's leading provider of broadband, IP data and voice services and an AT&T subsidiary, has purchased Lucent's Arbor arbor

Alestra contracted with Lucent to deploy its Arbor/BP software, a fully functional, industry-leading, IP, 3G mobile and convergent billing system. With its highly configurable and robust architecture, the Lucent Arbor/BP billing platform offers Alestra the ability to rapidly launch leading-edge services, customize services for individual customers and offer multiple services on a single invoice.

Alestra has also recently upgraded their license for BILLDATS(R) Data Manager, a convergent multi-vendor software mediation mediation, in law, type of intervention in which the disputing parties accept the offer of a third party to recommend a solution for their controversy. Mediation has long been a part of international law, frequently involving the use of an international commission,  platform from Lucent's Kenan line of software. BILLDATS Data Manager collects vital usage, content, and transaction data from Alestra's network; mediates the data; and rapidly distributes relevant data downstream for use in management applications. This new upgraded version of BILLDATS Data Manager also offers Alestra enhanced revenue assurance capabilities.
