Alert over horse equipment theft.

POLICE are warning horse lovers to be vigilant following the theft of thousands of pounds-worth of equestrian equipment.

It is the second theft of horse equipment in south Staffordshire in just a week.

On Monday last week equestrian equipment worth over pounds 1,600 was taken from Orchard Lane, Shareshill, near Wolverhampton.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We are urging horse enthusiasts to safeguard their property."
