HOUSTON -- Alert Logic, the only network security company leveraging a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to deliver on-demand protection to mid-sized businesses and service providers, today unveiled a breakthrough innovation that will enable its partners to rapidly deploy the Alert Logic security solution across up to 50 client IT networks with a single appliance.

The release of the Multi-Tenant Edition (MTE MTE - Machine Transfer Entries (ACH money transfers)
MTE - Magnetic Torque Electronics
MTE - Manual Test Equipment
MTE - Master of Textile Engineering (also seen as MT ENG)
MTE - Mastergroup Translating Equipment (ITU-T)
MTE - Maximum Temperature Engine
MTE - Maximum Tracking Error
MTE - Measurement and Test Equipment (also seen as M&TE)
MTE - Mediterranean-Type Ecosystem
MTE - Message Transfer Element
MTE - Microwave Test Equipment
) of Alert Logic's Network Protection on Demand [TM] service is an extension of Alert Logic's solution set designed specifically for service providers.

The innovative MTE technology is built on Alert Logic's three-layered On Demand platform, featuring rapid deployment, zero maintenance and no infrastructure costs. Because MTE delivers the concept of a "virtual" appliance, multiple client networks can be protected by a single physical 1U MTE appliance, allowing managed hosting, managed security service, and network service providers to achieve higher rack densities and lower end-user price points previously unavailable to service providers and their clients. Managed hosting companies, for example, can service the security needs of up to 50 clients with a single MTE solution.

"Alert Logic continues to focus on enabling our service provider partners to deliver world class network security 'in the cloud' to a broader set of their clients, said Chris Smith, vice president of marketing at Alert Logic. "Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach like most network security vendors, Alert Logic offers a broad selection of capabilities and price points to meet just about every service provider client need."

"We're the fastest growing intrusion protection solution in the hosting industry," said Smith. "Our on-demand style of delivery is perfectly suited to the needs of hosting providers seeking to provide outstanding security for their customers at an affordable price."

To effectively support service provider business models, Alert Logic's full solution is available via a low monthly subscription fee that includes all acquisition, upgrade, ongoing maintenance and support costs. Service providers can easily integrate Alert Logic's service into their own solution portfolio, and once the Alert Logic service is implemented, everything is completely seamless to the end user.

"Alert Logic offers our partners the opportunity to extend tremendous value to their clients," continued Smith. "Our partners differentiate themselves from their competitors, realize more revenue with less rack space, bring solutions to market faster than before, and offer best-of-breed network security to midsized organizations that have been left behind by traditional network security solutions - it doesn't get any better than that."
