Alert Logic CTO Misha Govshteyn to Discuss Why Internal Networks are Sitting Ducks for Attackers at SecureIT Conference 2006; Network Security Expert to Give Solo Presentation on How Intruders Penetrate and Hide on Internal Networks.

Alert Logic
WHO: Misha Govshteyn, CTO, Alert Logic

WHAT: While most efforts today are focused on defending the
network perimeter and endpoint machines, worms and malicious
attackers can easily bypass firewalls and exploit
vulnerabilities to disrupt networks from within. Once inside
perimeter defenses, intruders can conceal their presence,
compromise confidential data stores, and remotely control
machines for malicious purposes. These internal attacks often
go undetected until data is stolen or the network is brought
down. In this session, Mr. Govshteyn will explain:

        - Why perimeter security fails to protect internal networks

        - The most common ways attackers circumvent perimeter security

        - How intruders inside the network go undetected

        - What organizations can do secure their internal networks

        - How to integrate an internal security grid into existing
          layered security infrastructures

WHERE: Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, Calif.

WHEN: Thursday, March 23, 3:00 PM

HOW: 60 minute technical session
