Alert BART CSA Helps Catch Robbery Suspects.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1998--An astute BART Community Service Assistant (CSA (1) (Canadian Standards Association, Toronto, Ontario, www.csa.ca) A standards-defining organization founded in 1919. It is involved in many industries, including electronics, communications and information technology. ) helped nab a trio of suspected armed robbers about 8:50 this morning (Monday, Nov. 9) near the Daly City Daly City, city (1990 pop. 92,311), San Mateo co., W Calif., a suburb of San Francisco; inc. 1911. Daly City is primarily residential, its population having grown significantly since the 1970s.  BART Station after they had allegedly robbed three people, pulling a gun on two of the victims.

 said two juveniles and an adult attacked a man who had parked his car on a street adjacent to the parking garage at the Daly City Station as the victim was walking on the sidewalk across the street from the parking garage.

They choked him and threw him to the ground and stole his wallet and backpack, which have not been recovered. The victim's injuries were minor.

CSA Javier Fregoso saw three suspects fleeing the area and radioed for assistance. He followed them and within minutes saw the three rob two more victims on a street not far from the BART station.

Remley McCright II, 20, of Daly City, and two juveniles, whose names are being withheld because of their ages, were arrested and a loaded 10mm stolen handgun was taken from one of the juveniles by BART Police Officer Forrest Tietz.
