William Hein, Vice President, Business Development

William Hein has joined Alere Medical, Inc. as Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Hein was most recently Vice President, Account Management for the health plans business of AdvancePCS, a publicly traded, Fortune 500 health improvement and pharmacy benefits management company. He has a 25-year track record of achieving stakeholder objectives in high-energy, growth-oriented companies.

Marianne Murray, MT, MBA, Director of Health Informatics and Outcomes

Marianne Murray, MT, MBA, has joined the company as Director of Health Informatics and Outcomes. Ms. Murray was most recently Senior Business Manager with Surveillance Data Inc. where she led the Medical Claims Data Warehouse Design and Applications Team, as well as designing and launching the company's Consolidated Medical Data Warehouse. She has extensive experience with strategic positioning, organizational development, and process re-engineering.

Joe Cummings, Manager, Marketing and Communications

Joe Cummings has joined Alere as Manager, Marketing and Communications. He was most recently Vice President, Interactive Director at the Rose/Glenn Group, one of Nevada's leading full-service marketing firms. His communications and marketing experience includes creating, developing, writing, directing and producing marketing and communications materials including print, broadcast, internet direct marketing, and Web site strategy and planning.

Elaine Messerli, Nursing Manager

Elaine Messerli has joined Alere Medical, Inc. as Nursing Manager. She was most recently Director of Nursing at Carson Rehabilitation Center, where she managed clinical services including Nursing, Case Management, Social Services, Recreation Therapy, Quality Management, Infection Control, Respiratory Therapy, and several other ancillary departments.

Ken Lirette, HealthSuite Partners Project Director

Ken Lirette has joined Alere Medical, Inc. as HealthSuite Partners Project Director. Mr. Lirette has more than twenty years of continuous experience in healthcare, and has developed a solid reputation as an innovator and team builder. Prior to joining HealthSuite Partners he was a Group Practice Administrator for Washoe Health System, a 550+ bed multi-campus health system in northern Nevada with an integrated health plan and an internal disease management program. There he managed clinical practices specializing in Pediatrics, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, and Urgent Care. He has also held management positions in the Datex-Ohmeda organization, a GE subsidiary and worldwide vendor of anesthesia and patient monitoring equipment.

The Alere(R) Home Monitoring Program

The Alere Home Monitoring Program places its patented DayLink(R) monitor in a patient's home to gather biometric and symptomatic information, such as daily weight and shortness of breath.
