Alere Medical, State of Colorado Extend Contract; Asthma Program for Medicaid Recipients Extended into 2007.


RENO, Nev. -- Continuing a successful disease management pilot which became a permanently funded program, Alere Medical Inc., the leading specialty disease management company, announced today that its contract with the State of Colorado for the Alere Asthma Program powered by National Jewish has been extended into 2007.

The asthma program for Medicaid recipients in Colorado began with a disease management pilot program in 2002. The pilot became a permanently funded asthma program from November 2004 through June 2006, and now has been extended through June of 2007.
