Alere Medical, Inc. to Provide Heart Failure Management for Humana's Medicare Members in Multiple Regions.

RENO, NV and LOUISVILLE, KY -- Alere(R) Medical Incorporated and Humana (NYSE:HUM) today announced that Alere will provide its comprehensive heart failure management program to Humana's Medicare Advantage members who suffer from advanced congestive heart failure.

Under terms of the agreement, Alere Medical will provide its heart failure management services to eligible Medicare Advantage Humana members in Chicago, Corpus Christi, Daytona, Tampa, Orlando, Dade County in South Florida, Kansas City, Phoenix, and San Antonio. Humana serves more than 200,000 Medicare members in these areas. There is no cost to eligible Humana members for the new services that Alere Medical provides.
