For almost the entire 20th century, the talented work of Russian artists was sealed off from the rest of the world, and this gateway to understanding the Russian culture was inaccessible to most. Spanning 900 years and including more than 300 objects, Russia! will bring together some of the greatest treasures of Russian art from the 12th century to the present, selected from the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Kremlin Museum, the State Hermitage Museum, and other public and private collections. A significant number of works have either rarely or never traveled abroad.
