Alcoa Wheel Products Expands Wide Base Wheel Options.

New 15-Inch Wheel Designed For Transit Applications

CLEVELAND -- Alcoa Wheel Products announces its wide base wheel selection has expanded to include a 22.5" x 15" option. The new wheel, part number 856520, has been designed to replace dual wheels on transit applications.

The benefits of the new 15-inch wheel are comparable to Alcoa Wheel Products' 14-inch wheels for heavy duty applications. The new 15-inch wheel weighs 71 pounds and carries a 13,500-pound maximum load rating. The new wheels will be available in June 2007.

Switching from aluminum duals to the Alcoa 15-inch wheel, 856520 and tire assembly, saves 150 pounds in weight per axle axle
