Alcoa Named One of the Most Sustainable Corporations in the World for the Third Consecutive Year.

:AA) announced today that it has been named one of the most sustainable corporations in the world for the third year in a row. Alcoa was recognized among the top role models in sustainable business A business is sustainable if it has adapted its practices for the use of renewable resources and holds itself accountable for the environmental and human rights impacts of its activities.  practices in the annual Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World ranking, during a ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Global 100 was initiated in 2005 by Corporate Knights Corporate Knights Inc. was established in 2002, and is an independent Canadian-based media company in Toronto. They also have the world’s largest circulation corporate responsibility magazine.  Inc. of Canada, which publishes the world's only mainstream corporate responsibility magazine. Innovest Strategic Value Advisors Inc., an investment research and advisory firm, compiles and analyses the data of 1800 international companies to create the list.
