Alcoa Awarded Ford F-150 Pick-up Hood Contract.

Alcoa (NYSE:AA) today announced it has been awarded a contract to supply aluminum for the hoods of Ford Motor Company's recently re-designed F-150 pick-up truck. The 2004 F-150 is an all-new version of the country's best-selling truck for the past 25 years and the best-selling vehicle of any type for the past 20 years. Alcoa, which supplies the aluminum used in the current F-series hood, will supply aluminum sheet that will be used to make the widest width aluminum closure produced in the North American automobile market. The 2004 F-150 launched last month.
