Alcoa Awarded Contract to Produce Aluminum Castings for Tactical Tomahawk Missile Program.


PITTSBURGH -- Alcoa (NYSE NYSE

:AA) announced today that its Alcoa Forged Products and Aluminum Castings business has signed a five-year contract with Klune Industries, a supplier of finish-machined parts to prime contractor Raytheon, to manufacture high-strength aluminum structural castings for the U. S. Navy's Tactical Tomahawk tomahawk [from an Algonquian dialect of Virginia], hatchet generally used by Native North Americans as a hand weapon and as a missile.
