Alcoa AFL Czech Wins VW Group Quality Award; Obtains New Skoda Contract.

:AA) announced today that its AFL AFL: see American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.  Automotive plant in Stribro, Czech Republic has been awarded the prestigious VW Group Award for Product Quality. AFL Stribo provides VW with electrical wire harnesses for its vehicles. The award acknowledges AFL Automotive's outstanding performance in delivering on-time, defect-free parts to VW, as well as its overall customer support and service.

Separately, AFL Stribro was also awarded a new strategic contract from Skoda, part of the VW Group, to deliver a complete new vehicle electrical system for the newest model Skoda Fabia, one of the most well known European car brands.
