REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1996--Alcide Corp. (NASDAQ:ALCD) today announced the continuation of a relationship with ABS Global Inc. as a preferred distributor of Alcide's udder care products in the United States.

Joseph A. Sasenick, president and chief executive officer of Alcide commented that, "This will enable ABS to continue to represent Alcide on a preferred basis. Their independent rep organization will continue to capitalize on the profit opportunity for the udder care product line. This also provides an opportunity for Alcide to expand in lower developed areas and thereby increase market share."

Sasenick also stated that, "Our goal has been to continue to reward those who have done a good job in the ABS rep organization and this enables us to do that, as well as to expand market share."

As previously announced, inventory reduction will impact first quarter sales, which should be roughly $2 million, but is not expected to affect the continued double-digit top and bottom line growth for the total fiscal year.
