Joseph A. Sasenick, president and chief executive officer, commented that, "The $2.7 million sales for the second quarter were as expected and show a significant 34% improvement over first quarter sales.  sales and net earnings growth for the total year."

Sasenick also noted that, "A new agreement has been signed with ABS Global Inc. which retains ABS as Alcide's exclusive distributor in several well developed U.S. and international markets for the company's udder udder: see mammary gland.  care product line. The agreement also provides an opportunity for Alcide to expand through additional distributors in less developed areas representing about 68% of the U.S. dairy market. Additional distributors will begin selling early in 1997."
