The breakthrough book series and card game, Adventures of the Elements, is currently being used in classrooms across the nation as a science learning tool. The characters are based on elements from the periodic table and molecules/compounds. With characters such as: Arla Argon argon (är`gŏn) [Gr.,=inert], gaseous chemical element; symbol Ar; at. no. 18; at. wt. 39.948; m.p. −189.2°C;; b.p. −185.7°C;; density 1.784 grams per liter at STP; valence 0. , Pete Phosphorus, Ollie Oxygen, and Holly Hydrogen, opponents battle it out depleting each other's life points all while having fun developing a greater understanding of science. Knowledge is power in this game and the drive for competition motivates kids to learn more about the elements including their atomic value (atomic mass atomic mass, the mass of a single atom, usually expressed in atomic mass units  attack points) and what elements can be combined to make compounds, such as H2O (water).

"Education in the U.S. is in a state of peril as evidenced by U.S. academic test scores compared to other countries, the reduced number of technical, engineering, and science degrees earned by Americans, and the watering-down of the U.S. education system. Current teaching methodologies are, in many instances, archaic and not applicable to learning the skills necessitated for contemporary society. One solution is education through entertainment--taking what kids like to do and making it educational. This is the underlying premise for the Adventures of the Elements. It is cutting-edge entertainment that teaches," stated Richard James Richard James may refer to:

In the Adventures of the Elements, five brothers and sisters find special glasses that allow them to see these element and molecule/compound characters in the real world. They experience the unseen world and nature's warfare of battling elements and molecule/compounds leading through an untold world of adventure and excitement. The 3D animation & production will be a sophisticated blend of stunning imagery with unusual animated special effects sequence with the characters of AOE. Already in production, the team is in the development & modeling stages on 3D environments & characters. The production will utilize Motion Capture systems in the development of its character animation sequence, along with traditional key-framing.

CAT's director Trent Di Giulio says, "We are very impressed by Mr. James's Adventures of the Elements.
