Alcatel to use MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition for Next-Generation Telecommunications Products.

.PA)(NYSE:ALA) and MontaVista Software, Inc., the company powering the embedded revolution, today announced the signing of a major multi-year corporate contract for MontaVista(TM) Linux (R)Carrier Grade See carrier class and Carrier-Grade Linux. Edition, an industry standard Linux platform for telecommunications applications. MontaVista(R) Linux(R) Carrier Grade Edition will be a building block for Alcatel products with embedded or real-time constraints.
